Brief - UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE
You are invited to take the role of a professional London futurologist that anticipates and visualises the future.
By posing 'what if' scenarios, you are asked to envision the future. A future that invites the viewer to think about topics ranging from new lifestyle scenarios (the future of life, love, work) to the future relationships between humans and spaces considering layers of physical and digital explorations. The ‘What if…’ technique is a useful and powerful tool for speculative design that enables designers to anticipate the unknown, design for the future and inspire future generations. i.e., 'What if London gets flooded in 2090? How might citizens adapt to the catastrophic nature of the rising temperatures and sea levels?
Following the speculations on future scenarios and the impact they shall have on our lives which the previous two briefs provoked, this final design brief continues with the theme of future 2069 asking you to consider what the future of your university might look like?
